Snowfall in Himachal is back with most of the major tourist destinations covered in snow, and weather in Dalhousie is currently very cold. According to the Meteorological Department, Shimla received 44.5 cm of snowfall, while Manali received 30 cm. Weather in Dalhousie is as cold as it can get, and it in fact recorded 60 cm of snow.
Other places such as Keylong received 33 cm, Kufri received 55 cm of snow while Kalpa received 39.6 cm snowfall. The minimum temperatures in Dalhousie, Kufri, Manali, and Chail reached minus 2.9 degrees Celsius, minus 2.7 degrees Celsius, minus 1.6 degrees Celsius, and minus 0.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Travellers going to Himachal’s tourist attractions are definitely going to be surprised by the all-encompassing snow in the region, and the cold weather. It is advised that you carry enough warm clothes to keep yourself warm.
The season’s heavy snowfall has also caused several roads to go defunct in Himachal Pradesh. Keylong is currently the coldest place in the state, with temperatures dipping as low as minus 11 degree Celsius.
